OK - I *know* this is not technically a 'boot' post - but I'm letting this pass for two reasons...
(1) Nigella Lawson is wearing fetish footwear. As a diehard fan of the Food Network, I can now fantasize about her stumbling around her kitchen in ballet heels while I am taking note of her roasted pork recipe. Yes, I do this. Betcha didn't know that Teri loves to cook and has a Thomas Dolby an Alton Brown fetish, did ya?
(2) Our beloved editor of bootlovers.com - DJ - is going to lose his MIND when he sees these pictures.
DJ REFUSES to get cable. This is a 'thing' between us - because I am an unapologetic television addict - time STOPS when The Shield is on - and his 'media center' is something out of the 1960's. This drives me crazy - because I'm constantly telling him about shows (Battlestar Galactica, Planet Earth, Showbiz Show, whatever) - and he can't even get CBS.
And nor does he care to. THIS drives me NUTS. I'm the type that if the power and/or internet goes out - which happens at a scary frequency in NYC because the infrastructure is overloaded - I can't function. I own over 2000 books, but those suddenly become very, very boring when I don't have a lamp to read them by. I'll stare at a battery operated clock and drink vodka - straight - until the power returns. And I hardly ever drink hard liquor. I can't deal with it. It's like a family member has gone missing and I'm anxiously waiting for word.
DJ? He'll shrug and take a nap. He doesn't CARE. I will never, ever, ever understand that mentality. It's our generation gap.
But I DO know that he has a softspot for Nigella Lawson. Because when I lived in Palm Springs, he'd come over to visit, and once or twice I had her show on - and let's just say that his interest was 'fascinated'. An attractive woman who knows her way around a kitchen? Oh he is SO there for THAT. And we all know about his ballet boot weakness. The only fault of these pictures is the lack of kitchen implements.
