Teri's 2008 Resolutions.
* I will attempt to quit my clove cigarettes, or at least cut down. I LOVE smoking - especially in leather gloves - but hate the side effects. Chatroom members are hereby allowed to nag me. This rule does NOT apply to D.J., Steffany, immediate family, anyone who knows my phone number, or anyone who enters my apartment.
* I will continue to refuse to make blog posts that mock the young female fuck-ups of Hollywood until the media starts applying the same insane standards to the young male fuck-ups of Hollywood. Hayden trips out of a car, and it's #1 on the gossip sites. A masturbating Edward Norton could do a line of blow off a hooker's ass in the middle of Sunset Boulevard while firing a shotgun into a group of nuns clutching Golden Retriever puppies and orphans, and no one cares. It's bullshit. It's an unfair standard.
* I WILL add at least TWO pairs of custom beautiful boots to my collection. If I cannot get custom, then high-end, outrageously expensive designer boots will do. I will not be above begging asking my blog readers for these things.
* Replace 'boots' with 'gloves'. Ditto.
* I will persue my love of cooking, and take a class or two in French techniques. You'd happily sell your soul for my mac and cheese!
* New Year's Resolution 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008: I will try to answer my email.
* New Year's Resolution 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008: I will try to get a wishlist up.
* I will try to keep "normal" hours and be awake when the sun is out.
* I will try to keep my self-righteous rants regarding the over-use of photoshop/air-brushing and the unreal standards of female beauty in today's media because they piss me off to no end to a minimum.
* I will stop thinking that fanactical conservatives on message boards are fish in barrels, and responding to their messages just because it's fun watching them freak out.
* Bootlovers.com will continue to be a female (and couple) friendly ezine - even if it means giving up the 'porn dollars'. Not that I'm 'above that' (to a point) - but that will be for another website. Boot (and glove) fetishism is not something anyone should be embarrassed by, and Bootlovers.com will continue to be a website that you can refer a potential partner to without cringing. It's getting harder every year to keep this standard, but it's something I believe in. We're surrounded by porn - and porn can be awesome! - but Bootlovers is not that.
* I will continue being an unapologetic kinky feminist and atheist, an annoying bleeding heart Liberal, a pro-choice supporter of socialized medicine, decriminalized sex work, gay marriage, medical marijuana, porn created and enjoyed by consenting adults, and a total pain in the ass to all of my conservative friends.
Happy New Year!

Teri,
You're not a pain in ass, really. Ok, well...maybe a bit. But thanks for being here and thanks for Bootlovers. You know I'm not a regular subscriber, but I have purchased a few issues over the years. Sometimes I struggle with my boot fetish and my other beliefs, and I really appreciate your effort to keep the "porn" in it's place and keep your site the way it is. Thank you.
And good luck with the smoking. I quit about two years ago. I'm also a bit of a smoking fetishist, so I had that going against me also, but it was the best thing I ever did for my health. All your fans want you to be around as long as you can, so good luck. Some of us love to see a woman smoking, but knowing you "personally", we'd rather you'd take care of your health.
Your Christian, somewhat conservative fan,
Steve

Teri,
Wow! That Edward Norton theoritical was quite the image. That's why I enjoy reading your rants. I look forward to many more in 08.
And as for your last point... we - or at least I - wouldn't have it any other way. (If you ever feel the need to relocate, consider my home of Madison, WI - you'll fit right in here)
Lastly, I want to wish you, the furballs, DJ and all of our fellow bootlovers the best in the coming new year.

Teri! Happy New Year! If you get a chance, check out two things:
1) Cooking demos in The Cellar at Macy's in Herald Square. They are free, conducted by various top chefs in and around Manhattan, and they often provide free samples at the end.
2) $9.99 on NYC TV. We just got NYC TV in my neck of the woods, and that's the show where I learned about #1 above. They feature the best of cheap/free stuff in Manhattan and the five boroughs.

Oops - almost forgot about #3:
FreeNYC.net - blog of free/cheap things to do in Manhattan and the five boroughs. In other words, a good way to find a party and a drink on a tight budget. ;-)

I'm curious about that other website. Very curious!
I definitely have to start contributing again with photos this year. I promise I will.
Talking about reading emails... HAve you noticed mine about the trip to NY by any chance? :D

I enjoy boots and gloves in a functional as well as fetish sense too. I am interested in meeting intelligent people with same interests. You won't find me at a bar or club as my job (unix systems administrator)has me working the overnight shift (I like nights can be less stressful, etc) wold love to hear from others...not interested in sex but a person with talent creativity and intelligence. (most fetish people are brainy anyway) JOHN

Well, I'm not sure Edward Norton would really be doing all that...he seems like a fairly quiet (yet totally f**k-able, in my opinion) guy, one who feels like he's an actor rather than a "celebrity". I could be wrong, but that's the read I get from him.

Teri, I would like nothing more than for you to be a TOTAL pain on my ass,not in it though.I am a NON-fanatical conservative that believes everyone has the right to express themselves whenever they want to.But sweet,hot Teri,you are doing a diservice, to those who visit your site to relax and enjoy oneself's interests in the contents,by exposing your social/political stance.It's not that I don't appreciate you have a mind in that smokin' hot body,but save that part for a political blog.Don't feel offended.I was erked visiting my favorite musicians AIC's blog too.I just want to get away from the daily crap I don't want to hear everywhere else and have fun by creating my own fantasy.And lets face it.You are only a fantasy to to all of the douche-bags and me visiting your blog that will never have a chance in Hell of pleasuring your interests.If you feel like it,email me at Quaihunter@netzero.com.I expect you will tell me to fuck off.
Lustfully yours,Dave Brown

I don't agree. I love all the political stances. I like to read the insigthful rants from Teri. That actually adds up to my "fantasy". It shows that this fantastic "fantasy Lady" is actually real. Which makes it all that better. :)
And plus, I learn new stuff from that.

Teri,
You HAVE to get a Wish List. To my surprise, someone in my family actually listened when I said I have one on Amazon, and then went there and bought me several things I had listed there! Notably, Midori's "The Seductive Art of Bondage." (Featuring the ever-lovely Dita Von Teese on the cover.) Christmas was pretty nifty this year. Those Wish Lists work - who knew?
