Update for Bootlovers #58

(Note: It always blows my mind that some of you think I'm tall - like any height over 5'4". If only.)

There's a last minute change in Bootlovers #58 (because nothing ever, EVER goes as planned for me).

The video clips I had intended on using to accompany my own gallery are currently lost somewhere in my flood-damaged cave apartment. Cue total panic on my part, because everything outside of the 8' x 8' section that I currently live in is still a complete clusterf##k.

But then I remembered...DJ and I did a quick photoshoot at Mike Frankovich's (www.fetish-realm.com) garage before I rushed to the airport. I wasn't thrilled with the photoshoot, but the video was fabulous! And hey! What was still in my purple leather purse from the CA visit? The digital tape!

So Bootlovers #58 has 6 video clips of me stomping around in grey jeans and Mike's GORGEOUS and vintage brown Italian leather Rafael Giardini thigh-highs! The leather...(swooning)...to die for. And the perfect shade of deep tobacco brown. I didn't want to take them off to go to the airport!!

It's unlikely that the actual photos from this shoot (other than Mike's small gallery) will ever be seen. The lighting was wonky, and my outfit - everyday jeans and a black t-shirt - are not items I would normally choose for photos.

Another reason the photoshoot didn't work...D.J., you are awesome - but sometimes you forget that you are 6'5" and I am 5'1"; and unless you really squat down to take a photo, I look like a midget with booted stumps for legs because you are focusing on the top of my head.

This is why photoshoots require planning. Consider it an experiment that didn't work - but I hope you enjoy the video!!

A bit of catching up to do...

Apologies for the lack of updates this past week! I've been living in Atlantis my horrid cave of an apartment. You may have heard that Brooklyn was hit with a bit of bad weather around 6 a.m. last Wednesday?

My kitchen and bathroom ceilings - well, to be specific, the space above those rooms - flooded, and caved in. Trust me, it's better than the most awesome alarm clock you've ever heard. Even if you are like me - born with the natural ability to sleep through any 'beep' created by man - a kitchen ceiling caving in will make you get your collective shit together in 10 seconds or less.

It's taken a few days to clean up and hope that the health department doesn't condemn this place as a health hazard. My landlord's answerphone has a helpful message stating he's on vacation until the 19th.

After the new issue of Bootlovers.com (#58) is up, I will be digging through boxes and taking a quick inventory of leather gear that righteously deserves a new home. Things I can reasonably acknowledge that I will never, ever fit into again, and pieces that just never 'fit right'. These pieces will be going on Ebay. The profits will go towards the "Get me the HELL out of HERE - this apartment SUCKS!" fund.

Even with all of this bullsh#t, I've been working on the new issue - and if you are into....

Bootlovers #58 - Mirage

I posted a preview image of this Lady in white boots last week - ignore that. I've changed my mind.

D.J. took so many pictures of Mirage that not only am I dividing the galleries into two separate issues, I'm putting what was to be the #59 gallery into this issue. I want more leather for #58 (so sue me) - you're getting Mirage in leather. You can live with that, right?

Mirage is one of our models that's going to drive you nuts. She's a 'real' model - by 'real', I mean she's so far beyond the usual fetish model food chain that I don't think she's even aware of it. She does not have a web site - not now, not ever. She's been a DDI cover model - wearing her own leather wardrobe - but it was as a favor for D.J., not a platform for getting more bookings. She has a 'normal' job, outside of her modeling gigs. She's 6' tall, with her own fetish wardrobe, and - if she decided to jump into the fetish model free-for-all - she could probably be in the Top 3 within weeks.

But she doesn't want that. Mirage enjoys being private - the only reason she's posing for us is because she's been a friend of D.J.'s for over a decade, and we asked nicely.

I'll post an additional image from her gallery later on - she's in head to toe leather!

Bootlovers #58 - Domina Thalia

Let's be crystal clear on this...

Imagine if a young Jean Shrimpton was a Los Angeles based Dominatrix and she decided to pose for an ezine called Bootlovers.com.

Because...really...that's all I have.

I haven't met Domina Thalia yet - D.J. knows her - either from DDI or DomCon (I'm not sure which).

I do know that while I was working on her gallery last week, I was on the phone with a long-time male friend...let's call him Alex. Alex is quite the boot and glove lover - but he's picky as hell. Not the stereotypical 'beauty snob' who dissects women piece by piece - he's not like that at all. I wouldn't be friends with him if he was. He's actually very shy, especially around pretty women - and he has an uncanny sense about 'the special ones'.

If I had to take a Pepsi/Coke challenge between Alex and D.J. and their 'gut instinct' about women into boots and gloves? It would be close...but I think I'd go with Alex. I've known him longer - and he's not 'in the business'. He also has the best 'eye' of anyone I've ever met.

Remember that almost 'iconic' image - me in black leather pants, boots, gloves, and cowboy hat, and a purple leather jacket, standing by the side of the road - I think it was in Bootlovers #12? Alex took that picture - actually, he photographed that entire gallery. I wasn't even showing my face back then - but that was considered the first 'serious' Teri Gallery. So yeah, I trust Alex's opinion.

When I told him that I was working on Thalia's gallery...he asked, "Domina Thalia? The L.A. Mistress who travels a lot?" I said yes. "I met her at DomCon. She's beautiful. I mean, really beautiful. Great sense of style too."

(I briefly tell him about her outfits in the gallery - three different, very '1960's' style mini-dresses - and that I could easily picture her posing with Warhol at a SoHo gallery opening. God, the press would LOVE her - forget Edie.)

This conversation went on for over an hour - we couldn't decide how exactly to pronounce her name - but we both agreed that Thalia is very, very beautiful, and has a fabulous sense of style.

I think you will LOVE her gallery.

Bootlovers #58 - Domina Sascha

I usually don't find white boots to be particularly 'dominant' - but DAMN does Domina Sascha give me a reality check this month.

Domina Sascha is a prodom, based out of Orange County, CA. I've seen the space she works out of - and can state - without hesitation - that 99.9% of New York City Mistresses would gleefully give up their eye teeth and maybe a first born or two for access to those dungeons. The other 0.1% are morons. The dungeons are TO DIE FOR. The 'set' that Veronique and Natalie posed in for Bootlovers #57? That's what Sascha uses for her crossdressing fans. Very few Dominatrixes have access to that wonderful space - Domina Sascha is one of the chosen.

We featured Domina Sascha several issues back (Bootlovers #20), and were long overdue for a new gallery. Much to our delight, Sascha is one of the handful who actually came out to us! She packed her equestrienne outfits and boots, and drove out to the desert to pose in D.J.'s warehouse! D.J. was over the moon with this! One of CA's top Mistresses taking the time to visit us - and willing to look amazing for the camera in her boots??

Every Domme from now on will be 'compared' - but a bit of friendly competition can be a good thing! I can't imagine anyone looking better in riding pants than Sascha does though. When you see the pics, you'll understand - it's as if she poured herself into them!
