When I posted a link to the Lucy Lawless (in gloves) interview last week, I had assumed all of you could watch it if you wanted to.
But Gman pointed out to me - Hulu.com (as well as a ridiculous number of other sites) BLOCK non-USA IPs from viewing this content. It's a RIDICULOUS 'rule' to prevent the rest of the world from viewing our television shows before they air in the viewer's home country. Like you're supposed to wait a year before catching up on Lost or Battlestar Galactica. It's bullshit.
And then they WONDER why so many of people use Bittorrent (rolling eyes).
But there's a way for non-US residents to work around this...
April GQ - Grace Park, Tricia Helfer, and Katee Sackoff of Battlestar Galactica. I'll repost when I find an UHQ copy.
Just FYI - for the next 10 days, the first thing that pops into my head upon waking is an on-going mental countdown to the Season Four BSG premiere at 10 pm on Friday, April 4th. Words do not describe my reaction when I found this on the Live Journal 'Battlestar Blog' because it was like a high-pitched squee.
Mood: Pffft! Music: Deftones
I have a love/hate relationship with America's 'SciFi Channel'. Actually, it's like 99% absolute loathing. I think they are an embarrassment to science fiction. I will never, ever - in a million fracking years - forgive them for canceling Farscape (and neither should you - the characters wore leather and latex outfits). The Saturday night movies are a haven for 80's soap opera stars and atrocious FX. And now there's word that are taking the last 20 episodes of Battlestar Galactica and dividing them up: 10 episodes in 2008, and the last ten in 2009.
This makes me want to PUNCH SOMETHING.
But it's the only station that carries Battlestar Galactica and Doctor Who - so as a scifi geek, I have no choice. It's my fault for not having the patience to wait a few hours until the episodes hit bittorrent. And 'Eureka' - while not great, does not suck. It can be a decent hour of scifi television when nothing else is on.
Usually I gleefully ignore any of their 'special mini-series', but one of my favorite crushes actors is in this thing (mental note: STOP obsessing on Canadian actors) and I've always adored Zooey Deschanel and Alan Cumming.
'Tin Man' is an 'update' on the Wizard of Oz, without Liza's mom singing.
Via the mailing list, I received a heads-up on the new promo pics. And hey, new glove pics! The lady in the pictures is Kathleen Robertson and she plays Azkadellia (Why do the baddies always have complicated names?! Can't a 'Darlene' be a horrid despot too?!).
'Tin Man' will premiere on December 2nd!
It finally happened! It's Christmas in July for Battlestar Galactica geeks like me!
Tricia Helfer (aka 'Number 6') in shiny boots!

And if that wasn't enough to have me squeeing around like a fanboy whose Seven of Nine poster just came to life, check out the poster for the film...
Thank you to Kinky Gerlinky and the boys of the Battlestar Blog for the heads-up!
(Thank you to Phil over at BadAstronomy.com for the heads-up on this AWESOME online comic strip!)
Kylie Minogue will be wearing boots in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special!
Since (non bit torrent) American viewers are 7 months behind in the series, I will depending on YOU - British Doctor Who viewers - to please keep me up-to-date on the promos!
Thank you to Miss Sadie and Tony for the news!
